A joint operation by the Crime Branch, Special Task Force (STF), and Economic Offences Wing (EOW) led to the arrest of BJD leader Raja Chakra at the Koida mines in Keonjhar district.
The investigation revealed crucial documents pointing to mismanagement, alongside the seizure of three luxury vehicles owned by Chakra.
The raid, connected to the Gandhamardan Loading Agency case, is part of an extensive investigation into mining irregularities and transport scams amounting to crores. Earlier, on March 30, thirteen tipper trucks linked to Chakra were confiscated from a crushing unit in Semiliguda.
Following his arrest, Chakra was presented before the Balasore OPID Court, where his bail plea awaits review. Authorities are set to interrogate the leader further as investigations progress.
