The Bhubaneswar Traffic Police has intensified its efforts against traffic violations, issuing over 1,800 challans every day, amounting to approximately Rs 18 lakh in fines.

The enforcement relies on AI-powered surveillance cameras installed across the city, capturing violations with precision.

To bolster traffic management, ex-servicemen have been recruited and stationed at various traffic posts after receiving training in traffic regulation.

Currently, 136 ex-servicemen are deployed across 250 traffic posts in Bhubaneswar, enhancing efficiency and safety. Officials have announced plans to further intensify checks in the coming days.
