Anandapur: In an unfortunate incident, a tractor driver died after the vehicle’s tyre reportedly burst near Sasang Chowk under Nandipada police station in Anandapur of Keonjhar district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Madhav Jena of Tarabha village. The owner of the tractor, Sanjib Sethi, who was present at the scene when the tyre burst, sustained critical injuries and is undergoing treatment at Anandapur hospital.
According to reports, Madhav and Sanjib today reached a garage at Sasang Chowk to repair a flat tyre. However, while they were filling the air, the tyre burst all of a sudden injuring the duo.
Locals present at the scene rushed the victims to Anandapur hospital where the tractor driver Madhav Jena succumbed to death while undergoing treatment.
Upon receiving the news, Nandipada police reached the spot and started an investigation.
