In a heart-wrenching incident in Sanbagbar village under Boudh police station limits, a 2-year-old girl child named Kajal Mahakud lost her life after drowning in a water-filled vessel, casting a pall of gloom over the village.
According to reports, Kajal’s family had filled a large vessel with water due to the scorching summer heat. While playing, the toddler, unnoticed by her family, approached the vessel and accidentally fell into it. Despite the family’s efforts to locate her, they eventually found Kajal submerged in the water-filled vessel. She was rushed to the Boudh DHHl, where doctors declared her dead.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the incident was a result of momentary negligence, as the family’s attention was briefly diverted. The Boudh Adarsh Police Station responded promptly, arriving at the scene to conduct an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
