The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather forecast indicating a rise in maximum temperatures across Odisha in the coming days. Several parts of the state will also experience thunderstorm activities, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph, until April 11, 2025.
The IMD has placed a yellow warning on specific districts for thunderstorm activities on different days. Regions such as Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati are expected to witness volatile weather conditions, including light to moderate rain or thundershowers. South Odisha and coastal areas are likely to experience some respite in the form of rain, while the remaining districts are expected to remain dry.
Residents are urged to remain cautious and follow weather advisories to ensure safety during this period of fluctuating weather conditions.
