The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has sounded a yellow warning for several districts in Odisha, including Cuttack and Khurda, predicting thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface winds reaching speeds of 40-50 kmph.

This weather forecast indicates potential impacts on daily life, as isolated pockets in the state may experience heavy downpours in addition to the gusty winds.

The IMD also mentioned that day temperatures will remain high, especially in regions like Boudh and Bolangir, which are expected to reach or exceed 40 degrees Celsius in the coming days. Citizens are advised to take precautions and stay updated on the latest weather advisories.
