Bodies of three family members were found hanging inside a locked house in Chaulia Khamar village in Dhenkanal district on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Shankarshan Das, his daughter Subarna, and his grandson Santosh.
The discovery was made by Shankarshan’s wife Puspanjali, who had been away for three days. The cause of death is yet to be determined, and it is unclear whether it is a case of murder or suicide.
The bodies have been sent for post-mortem. The Dhenkanal Sadar police have launched an investigation into the incident.
