Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida has announced that the Subhadra Portal will reopen after August 9, following the release of the third instalment under the women’s welfare scheme.
This move aims to bring back nearly 2 lakh beneficiaries who were previously excluded due to various eligibility constraints.
Addressing the media, Parida stated that a new survey will be launched to verify and reinclude women who were left out. Women aged 21 years and above are eligible to apply once the portal reopens.
Those who have purchased vehicles, own more than five acres of land, or have filed income tax returns will remain ineligible for the scheme. The list of 93,000 beneficiaries aged above 60 has already been sent to the Social Security Department. These individuals will not need to reapply, as their benefits will continue without interruption.
“Several applicants were filtered out in the initial phases. We are committed to a fair and inclusive verification drive that ensures deserving women are brought back into the fold,” Parida added.
The Subhadra Scheme has so far attracted thousands of applicants across the state, aiming to financially empower women and boost socio-economic inclusion.
