Odisha Vigilance on Friday arrested the Pradeep Kumar Mohanty, OTES-1(SR), Joint Commissioner, State Transport Authority, Cuttack, for possessing Disproportionate Assets.
During the ongoing DA searches, further cash of Rs 2 lakhs and gold 600 gms were recovered. With this total, the gold recovered came to 2.1kg, and the cash unearthed stands at rs.17.55 lakhs.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS case No.2/2025 has been registered against Pradeep Kumar Mohanty.
Based on searches conducted on properties of Sri Pradeep Kumar Mohanty, OTES-1(SR), Joint Commissioner, State Transport Authority, Cuttack, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets including 3 multi storeyed buildings, Rs.1 crore paid to purchase one 4-BHK flat at BBSR, 2 benami flats at puri, 11 plots, one farm house spread over 14 acres, gold 2.1 kg, cash Rs.17.55 lakhs, two 4 wheelers (benami) etc, which he could not explain satisfactorily.
