A floodlight glitch disrupted the second ODI match between India and England at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack for 35 minutes.

When asked about the glitch, Odisha Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj said that an explanation will be sought from the Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) and emphasized the need for modernization of the stadium to prevent such incidents in the future.

Meanwhile, Congress MLA Sofia Firdous condemned the incident and called for an impartial investigation.

The match resumed after a delay of 35 minutes, and India won by 4 wickets, leading the series 2-0.

An OCA official explained that the generator attached to the floodlight malfunctioned, causing the disruption.
