To ensure smooth proceedings during the upcoming monsoon session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, an all-party meeting was convened on Tuesday at the Assembly Conference Hall.
Chaired by Speaker Surama Padhy, the meeting brought together representatives from major political parties including the BJP, BJD, Congress, and CPM.
Key attendees included Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, both Deputy Chief Ministers, the Government Chief Whip, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Law Minister, Opposition Chief Whip Pramila Mallik, and Congress Legislature Party leader Ramachandra Kadam.
The monsoon session is scheduled to run from September 18 to September 25, spanning seven working days. Speaker Padhy emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue and mutual respect among members to facilitate effective governance and legislative debate.
The BJD legislature party is set to hold its internal meeting on September 17 at 5 PM to finalize its strategy for the session. With critical issues expected to be tabled, the political atmosphere is charged, and all eyes are on the Assembly for what promises to be a dynamic week of policymaking.
