Bhubaneswar: Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Odisha and covered 24 districts out of 30, the India Meteorological Centre (IMD) regional centre in Bhubaneswar informed on Friday.
The Southwest Monsoon has covered Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Nayagarh, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Boudh, Sonepur, Bargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Khordha, Cuttack, Jgatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Deogarh, more parts of four districts; Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Balasore and some parts of the districts Sundargarh and Mayurbhanj.
Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of North Arabian Sea, Gujarat State, remaining parts of Maharashtra, some more parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and some parts of East Uttar Pradesh during next 3-4 days, informed Dr Manorama Mohanty, Scientist ‘F’ & Head of Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar.
