Reality TV personality Sorab Bedi has responded to dating rumours involving Bollywood celebrity Malaika Arora after pictures and videos of them enjoying a party together went viral on social media.
Speculation began earlier this week when images surfaced online showing the two spending time together at a gathering in Mumbai. The photos quickly sparked curiosity among fans, with some suggesting that the pair might be romantically involved.
However, Sorab has now clarified that the two share only a close friendship.
“There Is Nothing Between Us”
Speaking about the rumours, Sorab explained that he met Malaika through mutual friends during his early modelling days.
According to him, television personalities Delnaz Daruwala and Vahbiz Mehta introduced him to Malaika at a social gathering.
“Delnaz and Vahbiz gave me a chance to walk the ramp during my modelling days. Through them, I met Malaika at a party. She is a close friend of theirs, and that’s how we became friends. There is nothing between us,” he said.
Sorab Expresses Disappointment Over Online Speculation
Sorab also shared his disappointment about the way social media users interpreted their interaction.
He urged people to be mindful before making assumptions about others, especially when such speculation could affect someone’s well-being.
“People are talking several things about us. They should think twice before speaking about a girl. It could affect her mental state,” Sorab said.
He also explained that he has attended parties with Malaika and their common friends for years, but the attention increased recently because he has become more recognisable.
Party Photos Sparked Curiosity Online
The speculation began after Sorab attended a celebration at Malaika’s restaurant in Mumbai. Photos and short clips from the party showed the two posing together and dancing.
Sorab had shared several moments from the gathering on Instagram while congratulating Malaika on her restaurant venture Sweeney Bombay. However, he later deleted the post.
The images quickly circulated online and led many social media users to question whether the two were dating.
Malaika Arora’s Previous Relationships
Malaika Arora was previously married to actor and producer Arbaaz Khan. The couple separated and finalised their divorce in 2017 after nearly two decades of marriage. They share a son, Arhaan Khan.
Following the divorce, Malaika was in a relationship with actor Arjun Kapoor for several years. Recent reports suggest that the two have since parted ways.
Meanwhile, Sorab Bedi was earlier linked to Niharika Tiwari, a contestant from Splitsvilla 16.
