A tragic incident occurred on Saturday at the famous Pavagadh Hill temple in Gujarat’s Panchmahal district when a cargo ropeway trolley carrying construction materials broke down, killing six people.
According to police reports, the accident happened when the cable wire of the cargo ropeway snapped, causing the trolley to plunge from a height. The impact proved fatal for all six individuals involved.
Panchmahal DSP Harsh Dudhaat confirmed the incident, stating to ANI:
“Six people died after a trolley carrying construction material for the ropeway in Pavagadh broke down.”
Local police and rescue teams rushed to the spot following the mishap. Efforts are on to secure the site and ensure there is no further risk to workers or pilgrims visiting the temple.
