Salman Khan’s latest action-packed entertainer Sikandar has seen a sharp decline in its box office collections by its fourth day.
Released on Sunday with much fanfare, the movie struggled to sustain momentum after its initial strong performance. On Wednesday, the film earned Rs 9 crore net—a massive drop of 50% from the previous day’s Rs 18.50 crore. The total collections for the movie over four days now stand at Rs 79.50 crore net.
The decline has sparked conversations among fans, with many taking to social media to express their disappointment. The hashtag #SALMANDOBETTERFILMS trended on platforms, as viewers urged the actor to prioritize quality scripts over star power.
The film faces stiff competition from Sunny Deol’s Jaat, which appeals to a similar audience but has also been struggling to gain traction. While optimistic estimates put Sikandar‘s total earnings at Rs 125 crore net, the negative trend raises doubts about reaching that benchmark.
Sikandar features an ensemble cast, including Rashmika Mandanna, Sharman Joshi, and Kajal Aggarwal, alongside Salman Khan. It remains to be seen whether the film can pick up pace over the weekend to surpass Rs 100 crore.
