Achanta Sharath Kamal, India’s illustrious table tennis maestro, continues to mesmerize fans at the WTT Star Contender Chennai, his final professional tournament.

Sharath displayed impeccable skill and strategy, defeating Australia’s World No. 34 Nicholas Lum in straight sets (11-8, 11-8, 11-9) in the singles category. Utilizing his vast experience, Sharath slowed Lum’s aggressive gameplay, capitalizing on his tactical brilliance to secure the victory.

In doubles, Sharath paired with Snehit Suravajjula and pulled off a remarkable win against compatriots Manav Thakkar and Manush Shah in a nail-biting five-set match, advancing to the semifinals. Sharath and Snehit will now face the third-seeded Korean duo of Lim Jonghoon and An Jaehyun.

Sharath Kamal’s dazzling performance is a testament to his legacy in Indian table tennis, making waves against international competitors as he concludes his incredible career on a high note.
