The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will host the 38th Meeting of the Central Advisory Board of Archaeology (CABA) at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on April 23.
CABA, which was established in 1945, plays a crucial role in collaborating with Indian universities, academic institutions, and state governments to advance archaeological research across the country.
The Board is reconstituted every 3 years through a Gazette notification, with approval from Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Culture, who also serves as CABA’s Chairman.
In its previous meeting held in June 2022, key resolutions and suggestions were discussed under the then Minister of Culture, Shri G. Kishan Reddy.
The upcoming meeting will focus on reviewing action taken based on past resolutions and engaging in new discussions aimed at shaping the future of archaeological research in India.
