Shah Rukh Khan, who has been away from the big screen since Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki (2023), is currently working on Siddharth Anand’s much-anticipated film King.
However, the shoot was put on hold last month after the superstar injured his arm.
On Saturday, SRK addressed his fans directly during an AMA (#AskSRK) session on X (formerly Twitter), where he shared a much-awaited update on his health and upcoming projects.
When a fan asked, “When is your next movie coming?” Shah Rukh replied, “Did some good shoot… starting soon again. Only leg shots, then move to the upper body… Insha Allah will be done fast. @justSidAnand is working hard to finish.” The actor revealed he is undergoing physiotherapy sessions for his shoulder and expects to return to filming soon.
SRK was last seen wearing a cast on his right arm while sending a video message after his recent National Award win.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, King pairs Shah Rukh with his daughter Suhana Khan in her big-screen debut. The makers had to temporarily halt production after the actor’s injury, but filming is expected to resume shortly.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh also spoke about his National Award win for Jawan and his excitement for his son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut web series, Ba**ds of Bollywood*, which will stream on Netflix. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the first look of the show is being unveiled today (August 17).
As for King, no release date has been announced yet.
