Bhubaneswar: Police have apprehended eight persons for attacking two youths with sharp weapons at Airport Square in Bhubaneswar last night.
As per reports, a gang of 20-30 miscreants allegedly attacked the two youths at Airport Square at around 9:30 pm on Sunday. The victims were trying to save themselves, but the miscreants kept attacking them while chasing.
Later, some people gathered courage and intervened. They rushed the severely injured youths to the nearby Capital Hospital.
Following reports, police had launched an investigation. Today, the police have arrested 8 persons from Bhanjanagar. The accused persons hail from Forest Park area and Kedarpalli Chhak. Also, the police have seized the weapon and vehicle used in the crime from their possessions.
It is worth mentioning that several cases had already been registered against the accused persons in the police station before. The police are trying to catch the rest persons involved in the crime.
