Bhubaneswar: A two-day National Car Race Championship commenced at Baramunda Ground in Bhubaneswar on Saturday, attracting participants from the states of Odisha, West Bengal, and Jharkhand.
This unprecedented event in the state capital is being conducted under the auspices of the 4 Indian National Auto Cross Championship. The event, titled ‘Race off the Road,’ serves as the second round of the east zone qualifierAccording sources, at least 10 participants from Odisha and approximately 32 from neighbouring states are competing in the dirt race held at Biju Patnaik Playground in Baramunda.
Well-dirt tracks and on-site emergency services are designed to ensure an incident-free event while providing an engaging experience for all motorsports enthusiasts in the state. Visuals from the ground of several racers, adorned with gloves and helmets, in this high-speed racing championship.
Various categories of races are also being organized to all levels, including a special ladies’ class race.-wheeler cars of any make, ranging from 800cc to 1650cc, are permitted to, compete, and vie for the title.
Additionally, the event aims to promote adherence to safety protocols on state and national roads, particularly highways.
