In a joint operation conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army, a terrorist was neutralized in the Khurmur forest area of Handwara, Kupwara, on March 17, 2025.
Acting on specific intelligence inputs, security forces launched the operation and detected suspicious movement in the dense forest. Upon being challenged, the terrorist opened indiscriminate fire, prompting forces to retaliate effectively.
As a result, one terrorist was eliminated, and an AK rifle was recovered from the site. The operation is still ongoing, according to an official statement by Chinar Corps.
