The Sports and Youth Services Department organized the event, which drew over a thousand enthusiastic participants, including students, athletes, and officials.

As the event unfolded, the Chief Minister highlighted unity, brotherhood, and patriotism as the driving forces behind a developed India. He applauded Sardar Patel’s steadfast vision and leadership that brought together hundreds of princely states to form a united nation. Moreover, Majhi emphasized that India’s diversity fuels its strength, while unity defines its soul.

Reflecting on national pride, Majhi recalled the unveiling of the 182-meter Statue of Unity in Kevadia, Gujarat, in 2018. He described it as a global emblem of India’s heritage. He also noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Run for Unity in 2014 to foster collective strength and harmony across the country.

Meanwhile, Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj addressed the crowd and underscored the importance of coordination and unity in building a resilient India. He encouraged citizens to uphold the values of peace and progress in everyday life.

The run started at Kalinga Stadium and ended at Powerhouse Square, symbolizing solidarity and shared purpose. Government Secretary Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav concluded the event by thanking all participants for their spirited involvement.

Ultimately, the Run for Unity reignited the spirit of national integration and reminded citizens of their shared responsibility to shape a prosperous Odisha and a stronger India.
