The Odisha state government revealed an expenditure of over Rs 115 crore during the 2024 simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.


Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi disclosed this information in the Odisha Assembly while responding to a query from Athagarh MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain.

The expenses included Rs 80.93 crore on hiring vehicles and Rs 35 crore on sound systems, tents, and barricades. These figures highlight the significant logistical efforts undertaken to ensure smooth election operations across the state.
