Three youths lost their lives early today while returning home after attending a Jatra show.

The fatal collision occurred around 3 AM near Bhoipali on the Biju Expressway under Badgaon police limits.

According to reports, the victims were riding a motorcycle when they lost control and crashed into a stationary tractor parked on the roadside. The impact was severe, causing all three riders to succumb to their injuries on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as Dillip Nayak, Thansundar Sa, and Chandan Luhar, all residents of Biratola village under Sundargarh Sadar police station limits. Local authorities were alerted to the incident and promptly arrived at the scene to recover the bodies, which were later sent for post-mortem examination at Badgaon Hospital.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. Preliminary findings suggest poor visibility and road conditions may have been contributing factors.

This unfortunate event highlights the need for improved roadside safety measures and stricter parking regulations along highways.
