Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) continued their dominant run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, securing a commanding victory against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday evening.

With this win, RCB not only solidified their position at the top of the points table but also maintained their unbeaten record in away matches this season, a feat that has sparked excitement among fans and analysts alike.

RCB delivered a commanding performance to outclass DC by six wickets in Match 46 of the IPL 2025. The contest saw remarkable individual contributions and a clinical finish that demonstrated RCB’s dominance in this year’s tournament.

Chasing 163 to win, RCB recovered from a rocky start in the powerplay. Early dismissals saw them struggling at 35/3, but a masterful innings from Krunal Pandya turned the tide. Pandya’s unbeaten 73 off 47 balls, adorned with five boundaries and four towering sixes, steadied the innings and put RCB in command. Skipper Virat Kohli contributed a gritty 51 off 47 deliveries, showcasing composure under pressure.

As the innings neared its conclusion, Tim David took the reins with a breathtaking 19* off just five deliveries. His fireworks included a towering six and three boundaries, wrapping up the chase with nine balls to spare. RCB finished at 165/4 in 18.3 overs.

Earlier, Delhi Capitals posted 162/8 in their 20 overs. Despite fiery knocks from Abishek Porel (28 off 11) and Tristan Stubbs (34 off 18), DC faltered in forming steady partnerships. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood shone with the ball for RCB, maintaining a tight grip during crucial phases.

The game-changing moment came during the death overs when Mukesh Kumar’s expensive spell allowed RCB to exploit DC’s bowling attack. Pandya and David’s heroics at the tail-end exemplified the team’s depth and finishing capability.

With this win, RCB has cemented its position in the top half of the league table, proving themselves as strong contenders for the title. DC, on the other hand, will need to regroup and address critical gaps as they head into the final leg of the tournament.

The electrifying encounter not only entertained cricket enthusiasts but also showcased the sheer brilliance of IPL’s finest talents.

RCB fans can celebrate yet another memorable victory, while DC supporters will hope for a stronger comeback in the next outing.
