Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar has scripted history at the Indian box office, becoming the first Bollywood film to cross the ₹1000 crore mark domestically. Nearly two months after its release, the film continues its remarkable theatrical run, cementing its place among the highest-grossing films ever released in India.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar rewrote box-office records in its initial six weeks, registering consistently strong daily collections. Now in its eighth week, the spy thriller has reached a new milestone, becoming only the fourth film overall—and the only Hindi film—to achieve ₹1000 crore gross in the Indian market. The other films in this elite club are all from southern film industries.
Dhurandhar crosses ₹1000 crore mark in India
During its eighth weekend, Dhurandhar collected ₹2.9 crore net in India, followed by an additional ₹1.25 crore on Republic Day. Its earnings on January 26, the film’s 53rd day in theatres, pushed its domestic gross past the historic ₹1000 crore milestone.
As of now, the film has earned ₹1002 crore gross (₹835 crore net) in India. The previous domestic record for a Hindi film was held by Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which collected ₹760 crore gross.

Global performance and film details
Dhurandhar has also performed strongly in international markets, earning over $33 million overseas, despite a ban in parts of the Middle East. The film’s worldwide gross currently stands at nearly ₹1300 crore as of January 28.
The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role, alongside Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. A sequel, Dhurandhar 2, is slated for release in March, bringing the spy saga to its conclusion.
With its sustained box-office momentum and record-breaking run, Dhurandhar has firmly established itself as a landmark film in Hindi cinema history.
