The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the promotion of Ranjana Chopra, a 1994-batch IAS officer from the Odisha cadre, as Special Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Culture.
Chopra, who previously served as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, has been recognised for her contributions to cultural policy and financial management.
Her elevation comes at a time when the Ministry of Culture is focusing on preserving India’s rich heritage, promoting arts and literature, and strengthening international cultural exchanges.
Chopra’s expertise in financial planning will be crucial in ensuring the efficient allocation of resources for various cultural initiatives. The appointment is seen as a step towards reinforcing India’s cultural diplomacy and fostering global partnerships.
