The filmmaker faced charges under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act for alleged offences, including electronic forgery, spreading false information, defamation, criminal conspiracy, promoting enmity, intentional insult, and publishing obscene material.
