A day after Samantha Ruth Prabhu and filmmaker Raj Nidimoru shared photos from their intimate yogic wedding at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore, Raj’s ex-wife Shhyamali De posted her first public update on social media—subtly drawing attention.
Shhyamali, who frequently shares reflective and spiritual content online, posted an Instagram Story featuring a vast depiction of the universe, with an arrow pointing to a tiny planet and the caption: “We live here.” The post came soon after Samantha and Raj made their wedding public.
Just a day earlier—hours before the couple’s ceremony—Shhyamali had shared another cryptic message on Instagram that read: “Desperate people do desperate things.” The Story quickly drew attention, with many users speculating about its intended meaning.
Her Earlier Post on ‘Letting Go’
A week before the wedding, Shhyamali had shared a philosophical post about releasing attachments. Alongside an image of a woman wearing bottu and sindoor, she quoted a verse from the Padma Purana about karmic bonds:
“Through the bond of past debts (runānubandha), one becomes connected with pets, spouse, children, and home. When those karmic debts are exhausted, those relationships come to an end, and with them, the associated joys and sorrows cease.”
The message was widely interpreted as a reflection on closure and acceptance.
Raj Nidimoru and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s Wedding
Raj and Samantha tied the knot on December 1 in a traditional Linga Bhairavi Vivaha ceremony that incorporated the Bhuta Shuddhi ritual at the Isha Foundation. The couple, who reportedly began dating in 2024, are said to have gotten engaged earlier this year. Fans noticed that Samantha has been wearing her striking engagement ring since February 13.
Their wedding celebrations sparked warm wishes from colleagues and well-wishers across social media.
Samantha was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya from 2017 to 2021; he is now married to actor Sobhita Dhulipala. Raj married Shhyamali De in 2015, and the two reportedly separated in 2022.
Raj and Samantha have worked together on The Family Man Season 2, Citadel: Honey Bunny, and her production Subham. The duo is currently collaborating on Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom.
