The Puri-Bangiriposi-Puri Super Fast Express (Train Nos. 12892/12891) has commenced its journey with modern LHB coaches, promising improved comfort and safety for passengers.
Regular services with these new coaches will start from Puri on April 29, 2025, and from Bangiriposi on April 30, 2025. Previously, the train operated with conventional coaches.
The train’s upgraded composition includes one AC Chair Car, six Second Class Reserved Seating coaches, five General Second Class Seating coaches, one Guard cum Motor Car, and one Guard cum Second Class Seating coach designed for Divyangjan passengers.
The inaugural run of this revamped express train took place today, April 28, 2025, from Bangiriposi Station. The occasion was marked by the presence of several dignitaries, including Shri Naba Charan Majhi, Hon’ble MP, Mayurbhanj (Lok Sabha), Smt. Mamata Mohanta, Hon’ble MP (Rajya Sabha), Ms. Sanjali Murmu, Hon’ble MLA, Bangriposi, and Shri Bhadav Hansdah, Hon’ble MLA, Saraskana.
With this transformation, the Puri-Bangiriposi SF Express ushers in a new era of travel, enhancing passenger experiences while connecting communities across Odisha.
