Starting September 1, 2025, East Coast Railways is set to elevate the travel experience on the Puri–Bangiriposi–Puri Express (Train No. 12892/12891) by permanently adding an extra Non-AC Chair Car coach.
This move, effective from Puri on September 1 and Bangiriposi on September 2, responds to growing passenger demand and aims to ensure a more comfortable and accommodating journey for travellers along this popular route.
The updated coach configuration reflects East Coast Railways’ commitment to passenger satisfaction. The train will now feature one AC Chair Car for those seeking premium comfort, seven Non-AC Chair Car coaches, including the newly added unit, to provide more seating capacity, five General Chair Car coaches for general passengers, and two Luggage-cum-Chair Car coaches equipped with Divyangjan-friendly facilities to ensure accessibility for all.
This enhancement is expected to ease congestion, particularly during peak travel seasons, and offer a more seamless and comfortable journey for passengers travelling between Puri, a major pilgrimage hub, and Bangiriposi.
