President Droupadi Murmu has extended warm Easter greetings to all citizens, particularly the Christian community in India and across the world.
In her message on the eve of Easter, she emphasised the significance of the festival, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and its core values of love, sacrifice, and forgiveness.
“The sacred festival of Easter conveys a message of selfless love and service. The sacrifice of Jesus Christ teaches us the value of renunciation and forgiveness. His life inspires humanity to follow the path of truth, justice, and compassion,” the President stated.
She further urged citizens to adopt these principles in their daily lives, fostering peace and prosperity in society.
Easter, celebrated globally by millions of Christians, marks renewal and hope. Churches across India are set to hold special prayers and services, with believers gathering to commemorate the resurrection of Christ.
