President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu arrived in Bhubaneswar on Thursday for a two-day visit to Odisha.
At Bhubaneswar Airport, Governor Dr. Haribabu Kambhampati and Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi welcomed President Droupadi Murmu. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Tribal Affairs Jual Oram, MP Aparajita Sarangi, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, and Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja were also present to extend their greetings to the President.
Later in the day, President Murmu will address the Odisha Assembly’s winter session from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan will also be present during her speech inside the Assembly.
With this address, President Murmu will script history as the first President of India to speak in the Odisha Assembly. Her landmark speech marks a significant moment in the state’s legislative history and underscores the importance of Odisha in national governance.
