As Bhubaneswar gears up for Eid and Ram Navami festivities, the Commissionerate Police has heightened its security arrangements to ensure communal harmony and public safety.
To foster brotherhood and mutual respect among communities, leave for police officers has been cancelled through the 15th, and sensitive locations across the state have been identified for special monitoring.
Officers are utilizing technology like CCTV surveillance, artificial intelligence, and drones to bolster security, while community discussions aim to resolve disputes amicably. Social media platforms are under 24/7 patrol to prevent the spread of misinformation, rumours, or provocative comments. In districts like Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Bhadrak, and Balasore, heightened vigilance has been mandated to address potential concerns proactively.
The use of NGOs and NCC volunteers for traffic management, coordination with local administrations, and forming peace committees are part of the comprehensive efforts to ensure smooth celebrations.
Commissionerate Police officials have emphasized that these measures aim to create an environment of trust, safety, and awareness.
