In a disturbing development, an alleged attempt to sexually assault the wife of a professor was reported at Fakir Mohan University in Nuapadhi, Balasore district.
The incident occurred around 1:30 AM, near the professor’s quarters situated within the university campus.
The accused, identified as Harihar Patra—a labourer from Mardarajpur under Nilagiri police limits—was reportedly working within the university premises. Following the complaint lodged by the victim, the Remuna police registered case number 131/25 and swiftly detained the accused.
