Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Odisha on June 20 to mark the first anniversary of the BJP-led government under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

The visit will include a grand roadshow and a public address at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar.

As per official reports, PM Modi will arrive at Biju Patnaik International Airport at 2 PM and lead a roadshow from the airport to Janata Maidan, where he will speak at a large public gathering. His speech is expected to highlight the achievements of the Majhi government over the past year and unveil plans for Odisha’s future development.

The state government is celebrating the anniversary week from June 12 to 20, culminating in the Prime Minister’s visit. A massive exhibition will be set up at the event venue, featuring:

  • Report cards from various departments

  • Documentaries on government schemes

  • Displays focused on women’s empowerment, youth and employment, tribal welfare, and farmers’ support schemes

A high-level preparatory meeting was held at the BJP state headquarters, attended by CM Majhi, BJP State President Manmohan Samal, Deputy CMs Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, and Cabinet Ministers, to finalize arrangements for the PM’s visit.

The event is expected to witness thousands of attendees, making it one of the biggest public gatherings since the BJP came to power in the state. The programme aims to reaffirm the party’s commitment to inclusive development and good governance in Odisha.
