Prime Minister Narendra Modi will serve as the Chief Guest at the centenary celebrations of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on October 1, 2025, at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi.
The event, scheduled for 10:30 AM, will mark a historic milestone for the Sangh, which was founded in 1925 in Nagpur by Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar.
To commemorate the occasion, PM Modi will release a specially designed postage stamp and coin that symbolise the RSS’s century-long contributions to India’s cultural and national development. PM Modi will address a gathering of dignitaries, volunteers, and members of the Sangh.
The RSS, a volunteer-based organisation, has evolved into a nationwide movement dedicated to promoting discipline, patriotism, and social responsibility. Its guiding principle of “Sarvangeena Unnati” (all-round development) has inspired generations of Swayamsevaks to dedicate themselves to national service.
Over the past 100 years, the RSS has played a pivotal role in education, health, disaster relief, and community empowerment. Its volunteers are actively involved during natural disasters, while affiliates are working to uplift youth, women, and farmers.
The centenary celebrations will feature cultural programs, exhibitions, and speeches that reflect the Sangh’s legacy and its efforts to promote unity and national pride. The event is expected to draw widespread attention and participation from across the country.
