Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu extended heartfelt wishes to the nation on the occasion of Easter Sunday, celebrating the spirit of renewal, compassion, and hope that the festival represents.

President Murmu, in her message, said, “Easter greetings to all! This day celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ and inspires us with the values of love, sacrifice, and new beginnings. May this festival bring peace and prosperity to all.”

Prime Minister Modi, sharing his wishes via social media, remarked, “Wishing everyone a blessed and joyous Easter. This year’s Easter is particularly special, as it coincides with the globally observed Jubilee Year. May this sacred occasion inspire compassion, hope, and harmony in every heart.”

Easter is the most important festival in Christianity, marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his crucifixion. It symbolizes victory over sin and death, offering believers the promise of eternal life. Following a 40-day period of Lent — a time of prayer, fasting, and penance — Easter Sunday marks a joyous celebration of spiritual renewal and faith.
