Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Odisha next month to attend events marking the first anniversary of the BJP government in the state.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah may also join him, according to Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, who disclosed the information.
Speaking to the media, the minister said that the PMO is in touch with Chief Minister Mohan Majhi regarding the arrangements. He emphasized that the anniversary is not a mere celebration but an accountability-driven program aimed at highlighting the government’s achievements.
Various events will be held across the state from June 12 to June 19, involving districts, blocks, panchayats, and urban local bodies. The Revenue Minister also claimed that the government has fulfilled 11 election promises within the first year.
