Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the annual DGP/IGP Conference in Raipur, bringing together top police officials from across the country.
The first day of deliberations focused on strengthening India’s security architecture, with discussions on innovation, technology adoption, and the sharing of best practices among states.
PM Modi emphasised the importance of collaboration between central and state agencies to address emerging challenges in law enforcement and national security. He noted that the conference serves as a vital forum for exchanging ideas, fostering innovation, and building resilience against evolving threats.
Senior officials presented case studies on modern policing methods, cybercrime prevention, and community engagement strategies. The Prime Minister encouraged officers to adopt people-centric approaches while ensuring robust national security.
The conference will continue with sessions on counter-terrorism, border management, and technological integration in policing.
