Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Chhattisgarh Rajat Mahotsav in Nava Raipur, celebrating 25 years of the state’s formation.

He inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development projects worth over ₹14,260 crore, spanning roads, healthcare, industry, and energy.

Modi praised Chhattisgarh’s transformation from a raw material exporter to an emerging industrial hub. He acknowledged the contributions of past governments, especially Dr. Raman Singh, and commended the current leadership under CM Vishnu Deo Sai for accelerating growth.

He highlighted improved rail and air connectivity, including Vande Bharat trains and direct flights to Raipur, Bilaspur, and Jagdalpur. Modi emphasized his government’s focus on uplifting people with low-income through healthcare, education, and housing. He noted the rise from one medical college to 14, plus AIIMS Raipur, and over 5,500 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs.

On housing, he announced that 3.5 lakh families in Chhattisgarh received new homes that day, with ₹1,200 crore disbursed. He reaffirmed the goal of building three crore new homes nationwide.

Modi dedicated the Nagpur-Jharsuguda gas pipeline and celebrated the inauguration of the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum. He stressed the importance of tribal heritage and economic empowerment through Van Dhan Kendras and tendu leaf procurement.

Addressing Maoist terrorism, Modi declared that only three districts remain affected, down from 125. He cited development in villages like Chilkapalli and Puvarti, once terror strongholds, now thriving with electricity, schools, and cultural events like Bastar Pandum.
