PM Modi Inaugurates, Lays Foundation of Multiple Development Projects in Bhopal

He underscored her contributions to India’s heritage and development, reaffirming his government’s commitment to women-led progress.

Speaking at the event, PM Modi praised Ahilyabai Holkar’s governance model, describing her as a symbol of India’s Nari Shakti. “Mata Ahilyabai was a guardian of India’s heritage and an embodiment of women’s power in nation-building,” he said. He emphasised her efforts in temple restoration and economic empowerment, drawing parallels between her vision and modern governance.

The Prime Minister also inaugurated multiple development projects in Bhopal, including the Indore Metro’s new corridor and air connectivity expansion for Datia and Satna. He stated that these initiatives will boost regional infrastructure and create employment opportunities.

Highlighting recent advancements in women’s empowerment, PM Modi spoke about the Namo Drone Didi campaign, increasing women’s participation in rural technology and enhancing their financial independence. He also praised Indian women’s contributions in space exploration, noting their role in key scientific missions, including Chandrayaan-3.

Additionally, PM Modi referenced Operation Sindoor, a significant counter-terrorism operation, calling it a symbol of India’s feminine strength. He lauded the role of Border Security Force (BSF) women personnel in ensuring national security, emphasising the government’s initiatives to enhance women’s participation in the defence forces.

Concluding his address, PM Modi invoked the legacy of Ahilyabai Holkar, urging continued efforts in women-led development. “From economic empowerment to national defence, India’s daughters are shaping the future. This is the era of Nari Shakti,” he declared.

Prime Minister transferred the first instalment for the construction of 1,271 Atal Gram Sushasan Bhawans worth over Rs 480 crore. These buildings will provide permanent infrastructure to gram panchayats, helping them manage administrative functions, conduct meetings, and maintain records more efficiently.
