Bhubaneswar: A total of 10 candidates are left in the fray for Pipili bypoll, informed the Chief Electoral Officer of Odisha, Sushil Kumar Lohani on Saturday.
Lohani said that 15 candidates had submitted their nomination for Pipili bypoll. Of them, three nominations were rejected and two candidates have withdrawn their candidature.
Lohani said there are 2,29,998 voters in Pipili Assembly Constituency. The ECI has made special provisions for voters above 80 years of age and divyangs. As many as 102 vehicles have been arranged for 3009 divyang voters, the CEO said.
Lohani said 102 of the total 348 booths have been identified as critical. The postal vote will start from April 6 and conclude on 16 and 1077 will cast their franchise through this system.
