The Passing Out Parade (POP) of the 6th batch of Agniveers was held with pride and ceremony at INS Chilika, marking the completion of rigorous training by a total of 2,010 Agniveers, including 309 women, along with 276 Navik (General Duty) cadets of the Indian Coast Guard.
The Chief Guest and Reviewing Officer for the occasion was Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command. The parade was conducted by Commodore B. Deepak Aneel, Station Commander, INS Chilika.
The POP, held after sunset, showcased the strength, discipline, and dedication of the newly trained Agniveers. Proud parents of the cadets, decorated veterans, noted sports personalities, and members of the station community witnessed the ceremony and cheered on the future defenders of the nation.
The parade included impressive demonstrations by the Agniveers and Coast Guard cadets, highlighting the skills acquired during their six-month intensive training. On this occasion, four outstanding Agniveers were honoured with gold medals, trophies, and awards for their exceptional performance.
The event was a celebration of youthful spirit, national pride, and commitment to maritime security.
