Parul Patawari, former Collector of Rayagada district, has assumed charge as Director of the Department of Social Security and Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.
Welcomed with floral greetings by Additional Secretary Smt. Sonia Behera, the event saw the presence of senior officials, including Financial Advisor and Independent Secretary Jayashree Tripathy, Additional Secretary Bhaskar Raito, Deepak Routaray and other dignitaries.
During the joining ceremony, Smt. Patawari interacted with departmental staff, assessed program progress, and urged everyone to carry out responsibilities diligently.
Known for her courageous and knowledgeable administration, Patawari had initiated several developmental projects in Rayagada, earning public admiration for her impactful leadership.
Her appointment is expected to strengthen the department’s mission of social inclusion and empowerment, and mobilise collective efforts across all divisions.
