Pakistan Under-19s lifted the Asia Cup trophy in emphatic fashion, defeating India Under-19s by 191 runs in the final at ICC Academy.
Batting first, Pakistan posted a formidable 347/8, led by Sameer Minhas’ record-breaking 172 off 113 balls — the highest individual score for Pakistan U19 in YODIs.
India, unbeaten until the final, faltered under relentless pressure and were bowled out for 156 in just 26.2 overs. Ali Raza starred with the ball, claiming 4 wickets, while Abdul Subhan and Huzaifa Ahsan chipped in with two apiece.
Despite a spirited cameo from Deepesh Devendran (36 off 16 balls), India’s chase never gained momentum. Minhas, who amassed 471 runs in the tournament, was named both Player of the Match and Player of the Series.
The victory capped Pakistan’s resurgence after losing to India earlier in the group stage, marking a memorable triumph for the young side.
