Five Minor Boys Injured in Nuapada After Balloon Burst Releases Toxic Gas

A balloon burst in Pakhanpadar village, located in the Chulavat panchayat under the Dharambandha police station, in the Nuapada district today, injuring five boys.

Upon receiving the news, the Dharambandha police and local villagers rescued one critically injured boy and took him to the Nuapada district hospital for treatment.

The incident occurred around 5 PM when a balloon fell into a ditch in Pakhanpadar village. As the young boys attempted to catch the balloon, it burst and released a toxic gas, causing burns to the minors.

The origin of the balloon is still unknown; however, it has been seized from the scene, and an investigation is currently underway, according to a statement from the Dharambandha police station.
