The Orissa High Court on Wednesday granted conditional permission to self-styled godman Sarathi Baba, also known as Santosh Roul, to visit Barimula in Kendrapara and meet his ailing brother.
According to the court’s directive, Sarathi Baba can visit Kendrapara once every two months but with strict limitations. He is not allowed to visit his ashram or stay overnight in Kendrapara. His visit is restricted to the hours between 5:30 am and 5:30 pm, and he must inform the trial court in advance.
Additionally, the court has upheld a condition of his bail that prohibits gatherings of more than 200 people during his visits.
Sarathi Baba, who faced charges of sexual harassment, was released on bail after spending several years in jail. However, he is banned from conducting any spiritual discourse programs.
These restrictions aim to ensure public safety and order while allowing Sarathi Baba to attend to his family obligations.
