Following the successful operation, Union Home Minister Amit Shah convened a crucial security review meeting with Chief Ministers, DGPs, and Chief Secretaries of Indian states bordering Pakistan and Nepal.
Officials from Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, West Bengal, along with the Lieutenant Governors of Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir, participated in the session.
The meeting focused on enhancing border security measures and strengthening intelligence coordination amid rising tensions. With escalating threats in the region, discussions also covered reinforcing counter-terrorism strategies and cooperation between state and central agencies.
Political leaders and security experts are now assessing the strategic and geopolitical impact of Operation Sindoor. The strike has sent a strong message against terrorism, reaffirming India’s commitment to national security and regional stability.
The Indian Armed Forces executed Operation Sindoor, targeting nine terror camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) at midnight.
The operation was launched in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives, prompting swift retaliation.
Reports indicate that the strikes were highly precise, ensuring minimal collateral damage while effectively dismantling terrorist infrastructure. The action was classified as focused and non-escalatory, aiming to safeguard national security without engaging in broader conflict.
