Bolangir Police busted an online betting racket operating in a rented house in the Kantabanji area and arrested five persons.
On getting information on illegal betting on cricket and other online games, Addl SP Himanshu Behera, along with Kantabanji SDPO Gouranga Chandra Sahu, IIC Inspr Rasmita Behera & staff conducted a raid in a building near LPS School and arrested the five accused persons.
Police have seized 20 mobile phones, 3 laptops and other materials from the accused persons, identified as Santosh Kumar Yadav (29), Santosh Kumar (25), and Sonu Kumar Yadav (21), all are from village Bhelwa, Banka in Bihar Khamaripada, Khirasagar Naik (29) of Nuapada, and Jitendra Punji (36) of Belpada in Bolangir district.
